I kind of wanted to make a Cap art book but I have no idea how people make those. Does anyone know?
Hey guys looks like I’m on the UB literary mag staff this year so here’s my pitch:

But Steve is laughing like he used to and his humor hasn’t changed so maybe this new dynamic they have will work out. He never thought he’d have to share steve with anyone. He doesn’t like it, this new god that took the place of his friend. He makes Bucky feel useless and small and when Steve turns back to say something, he’s gone. Outside, behind the bar, Bucky finds the barman with a cigarette between his lips and grin that looked like it was only for Bucky. “Hey there, soldier."
I love you anon
British dames must be different, because she’s looking at Steve like he hung the moon and Bucky might as well not exist. So that’s changed to… Bucky’s beginning to hate Captain America more and more. The man in front of him, the one who is supposed to be his best friend is someone he doesn’t recognize. Steve doesn’t just belong to Bucky anymore, he belongs to the world and Bucky can already feel the threads that hold he and Steve together fraying.
Oh no it hurts
Steve asks him if he’s ready to follow Captain America into the jaws of hell or death or whatever and Bucky tells Steve exactly what he thinks of Captain America. He sloshes his drink into his mouth and Peg Carter walks in looking every bit a dream she is, but only has eyes for Captain America. Bucky tries to get back into his sorts, flirting in the way that drives the Brooklyn girls crazy.
They go out to the pub, Steve... Captain America… Bucky still hasn’t reconciled them in his head, gets a team together from the 107th to help take down the people who captured them. Bucky only notices the barman who hands him is whiskey with a smile and a too-long brush of fingers. He looks like Steve used to, skinny and head a too big for his body, but bulked up with layers that kind of make everything look proportionate.
I love you anon (for anyone following along they’re doing the thing from THIS POST)
Okay, so Bucky’s more than a little jealous that night. It makes him feel like garbage.Well, he already feels like garbage. No matter what he tells everyone, he’s still not a hundred percent after what happened in Zola’s warehouse, but that’s not the point. Steve wanted to go out to the Whip and Fiddle, gave Bucky the option to stay in camp and rest, then they’d talk when he got back but Bucky told him to fuck off. Wherever Steve, no matter how strong he was now, Bucky would follow.
Oh my gosh
Going slow but making progress
